Author Information

INDEPENDENT BOOK PUBLISHERS:

Over the last few years I've researched a ton of information on independent book publishers. They say the third time's the charm and for me the charm turned out to be independent book publisher, Covenant Signature Publishing.

The first book publisher I went with isn't even around anymore. That can only be a good thing since the books they published for me were only worthy of the trash, and that's exactly where they ended up. They were horrible!!!

The second publisher I went with was even worse. Page Free Publishing is a joke on every aspect. They talk big, but there are numerous writer complaints against them. Unfortunately, I didn't know how unprofessional they were until it was too late. I gave them over $800.00 upfront and lost every dime of it except the $250.00 they returned ... and I never saw a single book!!!

I can't say enough horrible things about them so I'll move on to something better. Covenant Signature Publishing. There is no better independent book publisher in the literary industry. Their professionalism simply cannot be beat. No set-up fees, no packaged deals. And authors can publish at their own financial pace. Covenant Signature publishing bends over backwards for its authors. They are very strict but they know what they're doing. There is no publisher I recommend more than Covenant Signature Publishing.

INDEPENDENT BOOK REVIEWERS:

Authors looking to get the fair, unbiased book reviews they deserve, should deal with no other than the Alliance Book Reviewers. Self-publishing authors must be very careful who they submit their books to for a review.  Many reviewers prey on self-published authors with the intent to tear them apart no matter how accomplished their work may be.

Norm with "Bookpleasures" is such a book reviewer. He charged me for an expedited review, then refused to release it until I provided an interview. Authors should not be forced into giving interviews and should be alerted if an interview will be made mandatory. Norm also detailed the book so that he gave away secret scenes. Professional reviewers know never to do this.

Norm bashed everything from my writing skills right down to the story plot, and expressed a serious attitude problem with self-published works. Reviewers who enjoy undermining writers simply because they self publish should be avoided at all costs. There's no way to win with them and their unprofessionalism shows at every corner. In the end, not to look like an idiot by standing too far apart from the professional book reviewers, Norm still called my book a page turner and a must buy. Frankly, I think that steamed me even more.

All independent, new and self-publishing authors should trust their book reviews to the Independent Book Reviewer Alliance. They judge book reviews by literary standards instead of opinions. And any author can appreciate that!
